The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme welcomes two new appointments to its senior leadership team
We are transforming the way we care for our patients by developing and deploying a new integrated Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals NHS foundation Trust (RUH) and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT).
Together, our local care organisations have a once-in-a-generation, first of type opportunity to lead the transformation of care across BSW. This is not a programme to observe — it is a shared mission to own.
Our vision is to create a fully integrated, clinically excellent, and digitally mature health and care system — one that prevents illness, reduces inequalities, and delivers care closer to home.
The EPR is a digital tool which will essentially replace paper-based patient records over time.
This technology will bring many benefits to our staff, patients and communities, ultimately helping us provide better, safer joined-up care for everyone.
An EPR is a digital platform that brings patient information together in one place, including notes and assessments, results of investigations, prescribed medications and more.
