During 2026, we will be introducing a new shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across GWH, RUH and SFT.
From 30 June to Friday 11 July, staff will have the opportunity to see first-hand what our new EPR from Oracle Health will look like.
There will be a series of events taking place to show the first stage of the build. On the following days:
You may hear this referred to as Future State Review (FSR), preparing us to reach our next milestone in July – Future State Validation.
During these events, the EPR team will demonstrate a selection of workflows, walking you through some of the outcomes of the workshops that have been taking place since December. This includes some of the changes from Oracle Health’s ‘Model content’ that have been requested and the decisions we’ve collectively made to make sure our new system meets our needs.
The sessions will cover a range of topics lasting from an hour to three hours each.
More details, including a full schedule, will be communicated in the next few weeks. In the meantime, you can read more on your local intranet.
As sufficient notice is required for rotas and clinical responsibilities, please pencil these dates in your diary.
Everyone will play a part in bringing our shared EPR to life, as we learn how to use it to its full advantage and realise the benefits it will bring over the years to come. Once the full schedule has been shared, please speak with your line manager in the first instance if you would like to attend.
