This month, staff received a first look at the initial build of our new Shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR). Over nine days, across three Trusts, 1,400 people attended events to see the high-level core functionality of the new system, and how it will work across clinical areas as part of the future state review.
The demonstration events were designed to receive feedback and answer questions, with the overall aim to sign off and validate the core workflows shown within our new EPR build. Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and participate.
One of the attendees said:
“The sessions were delivered by great speakers, provided the right pace, right level and good visual demonstrations to really support engagement and understanding for the audience. It was great to see it coming to life, and I think has really got teams excited by some of the impressive transformation that this new EPR will delivery to support patient care.”
Over the next few weeks and months, the EPR team will be working with staff to further define the workflows needed for a clinically safe system that works for you in your area.
The EPR team will be visiting departments to further develop and demonstrate the system and start the process of building the training package, and supporting them to better understand the changes that will need to be adopted, ready for go live in 2026.
